Map of the World-American Style
I got this from someone in an email. (This person can identify themselves if they want). I think it’s worth sharing because I think it’s so freakin’ true. We really do see ourselves as the center of the civilized world, the only country that matters, and the holders of the known truths. We are who we think we are.

Umm, cute…notice, there is NO AFRICA. In conservative America, it would never exist, and then we’d never have BHO!
Thanks, Darlene. I was not sure how to put that image up there, but as you see with my attempt today, it is as simple as copy and paste.
I do notice a lack of certain cultural identities reflected on the map. Huh, I wonder why that would be?
Too funny and too true.
I once taught a very basic geography lesson as a substitute teacher, and the 6th grade kids weren’t even sure of how many states are in the U.S.
None of them could name all the continents. FEw could name more than 3 countries, with the U.S. included as one of them.
None of them knew Earth is on a tilted axis, either. They were amazed and confused when I told them that was the cause for our 4 seasons.
I want to quote your post in my blog. I can?
And you an account on Twitter?
