ACORN Should Sue Breitbart and O’Keefe
I have never been so disgusted as when I saw this video. Oh, wait, that’s not totally true, come to think of it I’ve been disgusted plenty of times when I’ve seen videos of and read transcripts of conversations with Glenn Beck, Ann Coulter, and Rush Limbaugh. Out and out garbage, hysterical lies and coverups. And yet the conservative sheeple are taking the bait, hook-line-and-sinker. Stupid sheeple.
I thought the accompanying article with this video was very poignant. It laid out the good that government workers can do, that groups such as ACORN can accomplish, for those citizens of our country who are in need. The commenters at the end said everything that was going through my mind.
The group ACORN should sue Breitbart and his lame-0 henchman O’Keefe for everything they own. It’s because of them, their lies and their distortions, that ACORN has been effectively neutered and millions of poor people have been once again left without compassionate assistance in this rich-dog-eat-poor-dog world.
The collateral damage of the doctored ACORN video also has far-reaching impacts on citizen journalists. Everyone’s motives will be suspect, everyone’s agenda will be questioned, and independent thought will be assumed to be a fantasy. Per Mike Stark:
And what of the damage that disreputable propagandists like Breitbart and O’Keefe bring to the real citizen journalists in the new media — those of us striving not to sell a political agenda under false pretenses, but rather, hoping to document facts, truth, and on-the-record positions of those who would corrupt our system through disingenuousness, self-enrichment and lies?

You know, I’ve been wondering why ACORN hasn’t sued, especially if they are truly innocent and were ‘framed’. Makes it seem more likely that the smoke was due to SOME kind of fire, however small.
I have to say, I wish you bloggers would stop using the term sheeple. It was a little clever at first but now it’s passe’ like ‘teabagger’ in that it just marginalizes the opposition, yet you get all fired up when they do that to you.
Just a thought.
I appreciate that you have objections to the term sheeple but it’s a great term, meant to symbolize those who just follow blindly, as sheep will do. And if a person has those characteristics, I do think of them as stupid.
It’s far better for me to think of them as stupid, than to think of them as evil.
I guess it’s no worse than the names the ‘gaggers use. ( i’m beginning to like the way that sounds!)
What I wanna know is, what’s up with these guys, that they must freak out on camera? Is this truly amusing for people, to watch grown men become hysterical?
I don’t know what’s going on with ACORN, but they’ve become such a dirty word that I fear they’ll never recover, no matter how many lawsuits they file/win against these fools.
